- This is the story of mine and my family's journey across the world to live and work in rural South Africa. In September 2009 we'll be leaving Canada, and after a few months of traveling, we will arrive in White River, South Africa, where we will begin to settle in to our new lives. There we will be working with an organization called Hands at Work, which deals with child headed households and AIDs orphans. My amazing friend Carissa, who I got to travel to Uganda with in March 2009, will be joining us for about two months this fall, and while I'm so sad about leaving all the rest of my friends, I can't wait for this amazing adventure to begin!! Africa here I come!! :)

The book is amazing. I haven't had a ton of time yet to sit down and really read it, but I have skimmed through and read random parts and the stories are just so detailed and make you feel like you're right there living it.
As for Wii, they only have a couple games since they just got it, but they rented quite a few. We were playing some dodgeball game and it was really fun once you got the hang of it, but for like 20 minutes i would just lose after like 2 seconds- it is difficult to get the idea!!! They rented "smarty pants" too, and that one was cute. It's like a trivia on a ton of different subjects (entertainment, fashion, sports, games, books, etc.) Maybe I only liked that one cuz I won :)
Good old boxing is my all time fave though!
