"God did that?"

A couple of weeks ago, Ayana looked out the window, and was astonished by the gorgeous different colours of the tree in our front yard. She turned to my mom, and exclaimed, "Wow! Mama did that?"

My mom explained to her (not thinking that Ayana would understand at all) that, no Mama didn't make the leaves change colour, but God (Baby Jesus' Ababa) sure did. Ayana nodded, and pretended to understand completely, and be all together very wise about the whole thing.

The very next day, Ayana looked out the window again, and looked at our tree, nodded, and said, "God did that". She then looked down our street, gasped upon seeing that there were many of the same things happening everywhere, turned to my mom, and said, "God did it AGAIN??"

Since then, whenever she sees the trees changing colours, she looks at whoever happens to be nearby, and tells us that, "God did that. God did the trees."

And, of course, as Moses has to be the same as his awesome big sister, whenever he sees the trees, he shrieks "God trees, God trees!" while clapping his hands.

Ayana and Moses

I don't have a specific story to post about, or much of an update, so I though I'd just share some cute pictures of Ayana and Moses from last year (September-December '06). I might have posted a few of them before, but most of them I haven't... so enjoy seeing more of my beautiful little brother and sister!

Thanksgiving

Since (Canadian) Thanksgiving was a while ago, and I still haven't posted about it, with our gorgeous pictures, I will try to make it brief. I know I always say that, but I'm serious this time. I will focus on the pictures, and let them do all the talking! :)

Our Thanksgiving (Monday) was really awesome actually. We did the big family thing on Sunday, so on Monday it was just our family. We didn't do a whole lot, but we went for a walk at Tynhead Park, which is GORGEOUS this time of year, and had a really good chicken dinner (my mom didn't feel like making more turkey, after having so much the day before :D) and just had a nice time as a family.

We treated the walk as our own private photo shoot, which is why I keep raving about the gorgeous pictures we got. With all the colours of the leaves everywhere, and everyone being in a really good mood that day, we really did get some beautiful pictures.
So without further ado, here we go!

Just for fun... let's compare this year's Thanksgiving dinner picture (of the kids) with last year's!! :P

Quick Catch Up

Ok, ok, I know.. I have been horribly neglecting this blog. I'm sorry! I was fully planning to do a post on Thanksgiving (I have some adorable pictures!), but I've just been soo busy! I've been getting tons of homework from all my classes, plus I'm still taking piano lessons, so that's 360 minutes a week of practicing, plus a lesson, and then I'm also in Les Mis (my school play), which is a minimum of 12 hours a week (its often more.. for example, this Friday we have no school; instead we have a 6 hour Les Mis Rehearsal!!).

Anyway, enough of my complaining..on to Ayana and Moses! That's what you really care about anyway! :P

I'll just do a quick update, because its getting late, and I really need more sleep (I know, enough complaining about my life!)

I babysat Anna again the other day, and with her history (screaming for 1-2 hours straight!) I can't say I was really looking forward to it that much. This time, however, she was awesome! She cried for about 10 minutes at the very beginning, and then she was cheerful as anything the rest of the time. Her, Moses, and Ayana had a great time together; they coloured, played with Groovy Girls, used stickers, played in the leaves outside, and even washed the car! (That's a big hit at our house! Ayana and Moses love it!!)

I won't say much more, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.. I got some adorable ones! :)

I'm telling you, if you're stuck when you're babysitting.. let the kids wash a car! Its a lifesaver!! :)
